Internal Program at QUT
The QUT Masters in Lighting program is a 12 unit program, comprising PH62 Graduate Certificate in Lighting (4 units), PH72 Graduate Diploma in Lighting (a further 4 units), and PH82 Master of Lighting (final 4 units).
Students entering without an undergraduate degree will be required to undertake some or all of the Introductory Lighting Series lectures prior to commencing their studies.
There is 1 intake per year into the program in July. (QUT's second semester)
Part-time mode: Students undertaking the internal part-time program will undertake 2 units per semester. A unit will take about 7 weeks to complete. Classes are scheduled usually one evening a week and on some Saturdays and occasionally on a Sunday. Timetables and room allocations are available on the website. More information can be found on Study-Finder: PH62 - Graduate Certificate in Lighting (on-shore) and PH82 - Master of Lighting (on-shore)
External Part-time mode: The QUT Masters program is available to anyone in any country who meets the entry requirements and wishes to take part, or all, of the program externally. Please note that students are expected to spend one week per semester at QUT in Brisbane undertaking intensive face-to-face teaching, practical and assessment work. The one week at QUT is generally held around the middle of the semester. Students will be advised of the exact dates at least one month prior to the start of the semester.
All material required for the units is available through QUT's Blackboard platform. Students will also up-load all their assignments and reports for marking through this site.
Full-time mode: Students wishing to enrol full-time can only enrol in PH82 Master of Lighting. They will take 4 units per semester. In most cases classes will be scheduled with part-time students and held mostly in the evenings and on weekends.
