NATA Accreditation

The QUT Photometric Laboratory is a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited laboratory offering a wide range of calibration and testing services, including goniophotometry. The laboratory was established as an optics teaching and testing laboratory in the School of Physics in 1989. It received NATA accreditation for a range of tests and calibrations in 1992. Today it occupies two laboratory areas at the QUT Gardens Point Campus (M & Q Block).

Calibrations:

Illuminance meters; typically 0 – 5000 lux
Luminance meters: typically 0 – 400 cd m-2
Combination meters: to ranges above
UVA and UVB meters: (currently not NATA certified for this calibration)

Testing Services:

Consultancy services:

The laboratory can consult for R&D lighting projects and other related areas.
